Healy named to American University faculty
Wexler & Walker Sr. Director Bob Healy has been appointed a resaearch fellow and
adjunct faculty to The Center for Congressional and Presidential Studies (CCPS) at
American University in Washington, DC. Appointed at the same time is former
Congressman David Skaggs (D-CO).

Walker on panel discussing Executive Privilege and Congressional Power
The American Enterprise Institute sponsored a July 2, 2002 conference to investigating
the recurring conflict between the need for private deliberation in the executive branch
and Congress's oversight function. Bob Walker joined other former Members of Congress
and Adminstration officials on the lead panel.
Honorary Appointment within the Order of Australia bestowed
to Anne Wexler
The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia announced on May 10, 2002
the honorary appointment of Anne Wexler within the Order of Australia, "For service to
Australian-American relations, particularly in relation to the Australian-American
Leadership Dialogue and the Free Trade Agreement.

The April 10 edition of The Hill featured an article on women lobbyists in Washington,
DC, noting that Anne Wexler was among the first to open a firm.

Bob Walker and Anne Wexler were listed among the most influential.
Firm Changes Name
Hill & Knowlton Public Affairs Worldwide and The Wexler Group, both of which are companies
within the WPP Group – announced a strategic alliance to provide their clients an enhanced ability
to lobby government officials, educate the public and reach out to the news media.
The Wexler Group also announced that it will change its name to Wexler & Walker Public Policy
Associates, effective February 1, 2002, to underscore the government relations firm’s bipartisan
nature.
