Jennifer Yocham Poersch brings to Wexler & Walker more than 16 years of experience advising Senators, Members of Congress, Governors and other public officials in the world of campaigns and fundraising. At JYP Consulting, which she founded in 2005, Ms. Poersch developed, managed and executed finance plans for elected officials and candidates running for office and served as a political advisor to elected officials and their leadership PAC’s. In addition, the firm worked with start-up and non-profit groups to provide advice and counsel.
 

Ms. Poersch led the national fundraising efforts for Governor Bill Richardson’s campaign for President. Her other clients included Senator Jack Reed (D-RI), Senator Tom Udall (D-NM), Senator Blanche Lincoln (D-AR), Congressman Jay Inslee (D-WA), Governor Mark Dayton (D-MN), Narragansett Bay PAC, Southwest Leadership Fund, LINCPAC, Apollo Energy PAC, Spotlight Analysis, Grassroots Democrats, ACT and The Media Fund.

 

Prior to founding her firm, Poersch served as a Senior Advisor for Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) when she was Chair of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee in the 2002 election cycle and was the Deputy Finance Director for Senator Joe Lieberman’s (I-CT) Presidential Campaign. Ms. Poersch also served as Vice President of Democracy Radio and worked for Governor Jay Nixon (D-MO) on previous campaigns.

 

Ms. Poersch received her degree in Journalism and Political Science from Baker University in Baldwin City, KS. She resides in Alexandria, VA with her husband J.B. and two daughters.
